Rushcutters - Now Open

10 Nield Ave, Rushcutters Bay NSW

The Keystone Group recently invited us to transform the former Nield Avenue restaurant into a new multi-offer hospitality venue. This gorgeous old tyre factory has a lot of rustic charm, which we embraced and expanded upon, while adding the comforts that all good hospitality venues need.

The venue now includes an all-day cafe/deli, a public bar serving refreshments from lunchtime, and a gourmet restaurant for those wanting a more indulgent experience... something for everyone.

We'd like to wish the Keystone Group every success with this bold new venture, and we eagerly await our first dining experience!

Upstairs At The Bank - Now Open!

324 King Street, Newtown NSW

Newtown now has yet another funky small bar : Upstairs At The Bank.

As part of our ongoing refurbishments to King Street's landmark Bank Hotel, we were invited to transform the largely under-utilized lounge on level one into a late night cocktail bar and live music venue in it's own right.

Ascending the neon-lit staircase from street level, the space unfolds as something between an American dive bar and a 1960s underground London nightclub. It's dark, vintage, hip, and with at least a 4:00am closing time, it's set to become the late night hang for savvy Newtown locals.

We would like to applaud Solotel for their vision, and we're certain it will be a resounding success. After all, where else would you want to go when the other Newtown small bars close at midnight?

Stay tuned for more of our Bank Hotel refurbishment updates.
